Started my Police training 3 weeks ago... 10 more months to go. Although it's a residential course, surprisingly i am not dreading it.

It's going to be an interesting career with a steep learning curve I would say.

The balancing act and sacrifices.... can we ever have the best of both worlds?

I know it's been a long time. Working really makes a person lazy to blog (at least for my case).

Recently, I read a novel by Carlos Ruiz Zafon - The Shadow of the Wind. It’s actually a Spanish text translated to English. Seriously, I think it is a super duper fantastic novel – the characters, the plot…. There’s a bit of everything in this novel that makes it seem so complete.

I think if you are into novels, this is worth a read.


Oh, Laia, if you are reading this, I think you should search for this book… the story’s based in Barcelona so I think you should enjoy the novel even more.

And I wonder when can I do this all over again....

I don't like people to go gaga over "superstars". I don't know why maybe it's because I feel jealous? Basically I just think it is not just for us to channel so much energy into "appreciating" the talents of a superstar cos I think there are so many other people who deserves that more than them such as our siblings, parents and friends.

And I have a bad habit of stereotyping such people as unoriginal. Maybe I need to learn how to accept such outrageous ways of expressing appreciation.
